I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
